The Richie Brace is a custom made ankle foot orthoses that is used to treat a number of conditions of the foot and ankle. The Richie Brace is commonly used for posterior tibial tendon dysfunction that has progressed beyond the stage that a typical foot orthoses no longer works. The Richie Brace is also used for condition such as recurrent ankle sprains or functional instability of the ankle joint. A plaster cast is required for the Richie Brace and it is manufactured on this brace so that it can be fitted properly.
