Toning Shoes

Toning shoes are a sector of the footwear and exercise market that are concerned with footwear that is unstable. As the toning shoes are unstable, the muscles have to work harder giving a training effect and a tone up. There is biomechanical evidence that toning shoes do this, but there are no clinical trials that show that toning shoes can do this. Other toning shoes make claims about being able to change the posture and help with low back problems. There are currently some legal issues for some of the companies involved in the toning shoes sector due to the health claims that they have made for their products that are not supported by the evidence.
